The Ameristar AdapTrack™ Gate Conversion Kit is a complete set of basic parts, hardware and accessories designed to convert any basic fence panel or gate into a smoothly sliding cantilever gate.  The track itself is a specially designed one-piece aluminum extrusion (alloy 6005-T5) weighing 4 pounds per foot.  The shape of the extrusion provides a completely enclosed casing for the interior roll of the truck assembly and a saw-toothed mounting surface that inhibits the framing from slipping out of position.

Track brackets are included to mount the track to either round or square horizontal top rails; the brackets may also be used around vertical uprights to ensure that the mounted track centerline remains plumb and parallel with the vertical plate of the gate.  Track hardware includes two truck assemblies, two truck-to-post mounting brackets, two lower guide rollers, and a cantilever gate latch kit.  Each truck assembly is composed of a heavy duty one piece steel mainframe (that pivots around a 1¼ diameter solid steel shaft welded to the face of the truck-to-post mounting bracket), four vertical stainless steel ball bearing roller wheels that support the smooth roll of the entire gate, and horizontal rollers that ensure proper lateral alignment within the track.

All track hardware components (truck brackets, guide rollers and latch) are provided with U-bolts (either round or square as required to match for mounting to the gateposts).

*Note that kits for openings over 14' contain two track pieces.  These are simply joined by stainless steel pins press fit into pre-machined alignment holes in the ends of the track extrusions.
